About the club

Why we made Girls on the Green.

Our story

A clubhouse of our own.

Welcome to Girls on the Green: a community built for women who love golf, want to learn, grow their game, and make meaningful friendships along the way. Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or have been golfing for years, all skill levels are welcome here. The goal is simple: create a fun, supportive space where women can connect through a shared love of the game.

Kristen Catullo

FOUNDER

I wanted to create a women's golf community created to inspire more girls to get into the game and grow the girl golf scene in Lake Tahoe. I picked up a golf club five years ago and instantly became obsessed with the game, but I also know firsthand how nerve-wracking it can feel when you're just starting out. That's what inspired me to create a space where girls of all skill levels feel welcomed, supported, and confident stepping onto the course.

With a background in business management and a passion for bringing people together, I'm proud to grow a community that encourages more women to experience everything golf has to offer, both on and off the course.

Caitlyn Hathcock

CO-FOUNDER

I’ve been golfing for the past 5 years and have loved every part of watching my game improve and growing more confident on and off the course. Golf has brought so much joy, challenge, and connection into my life, and I wanted to create a space where other women could experience that too.

Beyond playing, I’ve worked in the golf industry for over 12 years. My experience includes working as a merchandiser for TPC properties, spending time working in merchandise tents at more than 20 major golf tournaments, and one of my favorite roles, being a cart girl at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. Through every role, I’ve seen firsthand how golf brings people together, and that’s exactly what Girls on the Green is all about.

This is more than just golf. It’s about building confidence, creating friendships, and having fun every step of the way.
